I work on the research team at Focus on the Family by day and teach Bible and Psychology classes by night. I enjoy great stories. I strive to be an interesting, passionate and inspirational teacher for my students . I also want them to learn something. I strive to live as a pilgrim here, serving the King and keeping my eyes on the prize. I can’t wait for Christ to return.

  1. Andrew,

I need your email address … and Jon P’s … I’ve got something to send you regarding Becky’s 30th B-day…

  2. Andrew,

Are you the same A-Hess who went to Taylor University? Do you happen to remember me? If you are the same guy, as I recall we were acquaintances, perhaps through Dr Heth’s Greek classes? I think when I was leaving to go to Trinity, you were thinking about attending. I see you’ve made your way to Denver.

What’s it like being Reformed at Denver Seminary? I’d be interested in hearing your take on that.

  6. Hi Andrew,
I’m a big fan of Focus on the Family and am glad to have the chance to connect with you. Seems our tastes are similar as far as music and Scripture verses! I’m a Believer who moved from the ABA to the CBA to write ‘Inspirational’ literary fiction and my daily prayer before I write is “Lord, give me a heart to tell stories about Your goodness and language to speak it well.”
My next two books are coming out from Abingdon Press, a Methodist publisher in Nashville, TN,
Looking forward to keeping up with you.

Newly following you on Twitter….one of the 9-11 poems I mentioned…written 6-8 years prior (almost discarded the summer before but my wife stopped me) I’m calling God on 911…With an emergency….The church is filled with sleeping people…Who’ve chosen not to see…The world around is growing dark…The lights that shine are few…To a carnal voice we seem to hark…God, Your fire must renew…Oh burn Your love into our lives…And wash away our sin…Show us the power You can give…If we’ll just let You in….Let Jesus walk upon the land…Using your hands and feet…It’s time for you to take a stand…For soon the Lord you’ll meet…Revival time is coming…An earthquake is very near…Hear the beat of the Spirit’s drumming…The call to march is here (Tom Green (C) Copyright 2001) The other two poems are even more thought provoking and challenging (this is the easy side of the message you’re seeing) Oh yeah, I”m the ninth of nine children and I have two older brothers born two years apart…their common birthday is 9-11.

I cant wait to the return of Christ. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess he is Lord. This world is on its way to hell and I’m trying to reach out to as many people as possible to change their ways and follow Christ before its too late.

Just came across your blog…..you obviously love Ireland as the two pictures you are using are two magnificent places in this beautiful country. Your large top picture is Glendalough an early Christian monastic settlement about 20 minutes drive from where I live. Amn’t I well blessed? Praise God for His fabulous creation.
